Idaho Panhandle Habitat for Humanity is an affiliate of
Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Idaho Panhandle Habitat for Humanity partners with families, sponsors, faith groups, and local businesses to provide decent, affordable housing for families in need.
Through the Idaho Panhandle Habitat for Humanity, families are provided a stable, affordable home, stability for their children, and are engaged in their community. Volunteers and our partner families provide most of the labor; and individuals, faith groups, and corporate donors provide money and materials to build Habitat homes. Partner families invest hundreds of "sweat equity" hours into building their own home and the homes of others. The payments they pay on their mortgage to back into our "Fund for Humanity" that helps build homes for other families.
We will begin construction on our 13th in the Spring of 2010(weather permitting).
